Terms of service
Olive Gold — sold via Farm Folk and Co
Last updated: August 5, 2026
We've tried to write these terms in plain English. They cover the practical stuff: who we are, how orders and shipping work, your rights, and what happens if something goes wrong. If anything here is unclear, just email us — we're a small, family-run business and happy to explain anything in plain terms.
1. Who We Are
This website (www.farmfolkandco.com.au) is operated by Olive Gold, trading as Farm Folk and Co ("we", "us", "our"). We're based in Axedale, Victoria, Australia. You can reach us any time at hello@olivegold.com.au.
By using this website or placing an order, you're agreeing to these Terms of Service.
2. Our Products
We sell olive oil and related food products. We do our best to make sure product descriptions, images, and pricing are accurate, but we can't guarantee they're always complete, current, or error-free — colours can look slightly different on different screens, and we occasionally update our range. We may correct errors, or change or discontinue a product, at any time.
3. Orders and Pricing
All prices are shown in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable, unless we say otherwise.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order — for example, if there's been a pricing error, we suspect fraud, or we've run out of stock. If we cancel an order after you've paid, we'll give you a full refund.
4. Shipping
We currently ship within Australia only. Delivery times shown at checkout are estimates, not guarantees — once your order leaves us, timing is largely in the hands of the courier. Once your order is delivered to the address you gave us, it becomes your responsibility.
5. Returns and Refunds
Because our products are consumable food, we don't accept returns for change of mind on orders placed through our website.
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or not as described, we want to make it right — email us at hello@olivegold.com.au within 10 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the issue, and we'll sort out a replacement or refund as quickly as we can.
If you bought an Olive Gold product from one of our stockists rather than our website, please contact them directly about returns.
This is in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
6. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms takes away, limits, or changes any guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) that can't lawfully be excluded. This includes your right to a repair, replacement, or refund if a product has a major fault, and other remedies for less serious problems.
7. Using Our Website Fairly
We want our site to be a safe, pleasant place for everyone. When using it, please don't:
- Use it for anything illegal or fraudulent
- Try to hack, scrape, or interfere with the site or its security
- Upload viruses or harmful code
- Harass, abuse, or discriminate against anyone
- Impersonate someone else or provide false information
If you breach these terms, we may suspend or end your access to the site.
8. Reviews and Feedback
If you leave a product review, send us feedback, or share suggestions with us, you're giving us permission to use, publish, and adapt that content (for example, on our website or social media) without payment. Please keep it honest, respectful, and free of anything unlawful or offensive — you're responsible for what you submit.
9. Our Content and Intellectual Property
Everything on this site — text, images, logos, and product descriptions — belongs to us or is used with permission, and is protected by copyright and trademark law. Please don't copy, distribute, or reuse our content without asking us first.
10. Links to Other Websites
Our site may occasionally link to other websites we don't control. We're not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or anything that happens if you visit them — it's worth checking their own terms before you engage with them.
11. Our Liability to You
To the extent the law allows, we won't be liable for indirect or flow-on losses connected to your use of this website or our products — except where that liability can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. In practice, this means our responsibility to you is generally limited to putting things right under the consumer guarantees described in Section 6.
12. If Something Goes Wrong Because of Your Misuse
If you breach these Terms, or misuse the site in a way that causes a claim against us from someone else, you agree to cover any reasonable costs (including legal fees) that result — this is a standard protection for us against situations outside our control, not something we expect to ever need to use.
13. If Part of These Terms Isn't Enforceable
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the Terms will still apply as normal — the invalid part is simply removed.
14. The Whole Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies we refer to on this site, make up the entire agreement between you and us about using our website — replacing any earlier discussions or agreements on the same topics.
15. Privacy
How we collect and use your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy, available on this website.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the applicable laws of the Commonwealth of Australia.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we do, we'll post the updated version here and update the "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the website after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
